Hi, I'm Jen.

san. Heniiye tɬə’nə halqáima duu dluug̣wa
də Kamasdan tɬ'dayasich.
Diuu kwə duu dlegeq!
I am a Ko-kwel person, of the Mecum family from
the place we now call Bandon, Oregon.
We are still here!
I'm Vice Chair of the Coquille Indian Tribe,
which is the most important and fulfilling work I've ever done, aside from raising my son. When I'm not working toward the advancement of our community or advocating for our rights as a sovereign nation, I enjoy learning Miluk language and teaching it to Tribal citizens on the weekends. I also work on my nonprofit, dlank'ts tɬə tɬiis Miluk Language Alliance, spend time outdoors with my family, and enjoy gathering and gardening.
My advisory group work currently consists of:
-
Nasomah Health Group Corporation Board of Directors
-
Coquille Cultural Arts and Exhibits Team
-
Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board
-
Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission
-
United Nations Global Task Force for the International Decade of Indigenous Languages
I also regularly attend Culture, Education and Language Services Advisory Committee meetings, Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians, National Congress of American Indians and the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
My previous advisory group experience also includes the Coquille Health Advisory Board, Investment Team and Communications Committee.
